About ControlBee

My name is Adam Świątkowski. I own IDEATRONIK, and for the past 7 years my team and I have been building the ControlBee brand.

As IDEATRONIK we have designed and manufactured electronics since 2004. We specialise in wireless communication and modern power systems. Today our products are in use on every continent.

The idea of electronics for apiaries came a few years ago, when a news report covered the theft of hives together with their bees. None of us realised then how serious the problem was, or how widespread.

In March 2015 our first prototype won a gold medal for innovation in beekeeping at the Apimondia fair. Two years later we launched the first ControlBee GPS hive sensor. We still offer that sensor today — now in its 4th, much improved version.

After all these years of working with beekeepers, I know that bees mean not only demanding work but also a deep attachment to these small insects. At ControlBee we want to offer you products that genuinely solve the problems of large and small apiaries alike. We focus on devices that protect against theft and make work in the apiary easier.

Our goal is to become, within a few years, a leading brand recognised worldwide as a maker of modern electronic devices and apps for apiaries.
